CBD and Parkinson’s Disease

A Road to Effective Treatment: CBD and Parkinson’s Disease

Based on recent studies, CBD and Parkinson’s Disease (PD) were seen to affect 1% of the population over the age of 60 years. Although this is a lower percentage, the number of people affected by Parkinson's is alarming, and it only seems to be increasing.

More than 1 million people in the US live with PD, which is expected to rise to 1.2 million by 2030. The numbers in India are not very distant. The recorded number of PD patients was 0.58 million in 2016, which has doubled over the years.

Most people over the age of 65 are susceptible to exhibiting PD symptoms. Rare cases of Parkinson's were seen in younger people too.

There are limited insights into the risk factors and environmental conditions that increase the risk of Parkinson Disease in Telugu. However, CBD or Vijaya has been one of the most efficient treatment solutions for Parkinson's Disease and has helped several patients cope with its symptoms.

What is Parkinson's Disease?

Parkinson's Disease is caused when the nervous system is affected, which leads to irregular movement. PD occurs for several reasons, like environmental, toxins, and genetic factors.

Early symptoms like slight tremors in the hand and body stiffness characterize PD. Some people can also develop dementia. Early signs include changes in movements like tremors, difficulty in coordination and balance, changes in gait patterns, loss of smell and taste, changes in nerves in facial muscles resulting in fixed facial muscles, REM sleep disorder, voice tremors or soft voice, cramped or smaller handwriting, etc.

Some other changes include mood changes and depression, dementia, delusions and hallucinations, fatigue, constipation, skin problems, and difficulty chewing and swallowing.

The precise cause of PD is still unclear and can be hard to establish. However, some variations of PD occur due to the following reasons:

  1. Dopamine deficiency: Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that aids muscle movement and coordination. Low dopamine levels in the brain due to dopamine cell death can result in PD symptoms.
  2. Low Norepinephrine levels: Damage to nerve endings that produce norepinephrine can lead to PD. Norepinephrine is needed for blood circulation and automatic bodily functions, which cause the body's reduced motor and non-motor functions.
  3. Genetic Factors: 10% of PD cases, especially early-onset symptoms, are due to genetic factors. PD is not hereditary. But, some genes are linked with PD.
  4. Autoimmune factors: studies show that people with autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis also have a 1.37% higher chance of having PD.

Some risk factors for developing Parkinson's disease treatment are trauma injury to the head and males with a 50% higher risk of PD. People over 60 years are more likely to develop PD, some drugs and medication, and toxins like pesticides, solvents, metals, and other pollutants in these age factors.

Avoiding contact with toxins, being safe from head trauma, exercising, maintaining a good diet by including foods like turmeric and flavonoids, and limiting aldehyde intake can help prevent PD.

Parkinson's disease treatment, or Vijaya, has been seen to help patients with PD deal with their symptoms and sometimes even delay the early onset of PD among susceptible cases. Here is how Vijaya can help treat PD.

How does Vijaya Treat Parkinson's Disease?

Several studies in recent years have shown how Viajay can be useful in people with Parkinson disease in Hindi. Some studies have suggested that Vijaya can positively affect PD patients, especially improving non-motor symptoms like depression, anxiety and sleep disorders.

Here are some ways Vijaya helps Parkinson disease in Hindi patients.

Pain Relief

A small yet efficient study showed that Vijaya helped to improve pain among people with Parkinson's Disease causes. Some animal studies have also indicated that regular intake of Vijaya can have pain reduction and anti-inflammatory effects on people with PD, which can greatly improve their Quality of life.

Reduce in Tremors

CBD helps to ease muscle movements in people with PD. Some medications and common treatment methods for PD can have medicine-related tremors or uncontrolled muscle movements. Vijaya can be useful to treat these side effects, too, by helping muscle and coordination regulation.

Treating Psychosis

One of the serious complications of PD is Psychosis. It leads to patients experiencing hallucinations, delirium and delusions. It is highly common among people with later stages of Parkinson's Disease. Studies show that about 50% of PD patients experience psychosis.

While modern medication can help treat psychosis, Vijaya has been used by people experimentally to see if there are any benefits for people with PD-related psychosis.

A small study on such cases revealed that Vijaya can greatly reduce the severity of the symptoms and be a reliable method as it does not cause any adverse side effects.

Improving Sleep

Many people with Parkinson's Disease causes are alarmingly experiencing unrest and lack of sleep. Vivid dreams, nightmares and movement during sleep are highly common among patients with PD. Some studies have shown that Vijaya can enhance the Quality of sleep and relieve anxiety and depression among PD patients, which can also be a reason for unrest and sleeplessness.

Enhanced Quality of life

Vijaya has shown several benefits for Parkinson's patients based on research and studies. The compound greatly improves the Quality of life for PD patients, which is one of the major concerns for the Disease. A study found that PD patients experienced no psychiatric symptoms or conditions when taking Vijaya regularly as part of their everyday routine.

Uses and Safety

Parkinson's Disease meaning in Hindi, impacts cognitive functions, memory, and muscle coordination, especially among PD patients, which progresses to dementia. In such cases, it is highly recommended that PD patients use Vijaya alone as part of their treatment.

CBD and Parkinson’s Disease or Vijaya interact with the two endocannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, in the body. This interaction helps to delay tremor development and can also protect neurological cells.

Several studies are showing the benefits of using Vijaya for PD. However, before using Vijaya to treat PD symptoms, it is better to consult a physician or a Vijaya expert to be sure. They can guide you on the dosage and right method of Vijaya administration for maximum benefits.
